All my life I’ve been in love with storytelling.

When I was a child I used to craft books out of construction paper, binding it with staples and tape. I’d spend hours filling the pages with fantastical tales about animals or fairy princesses, and intricate drawings of the characters and places. The joy of storytelling is that it goes as far as your imagination can take you- and for me that was limitless.

​Nowadays my films have taken on the themes I started building upon from childhood. Duality of identity, unreality, social media, and the female gaze all through my very maximalist taste. I love crafting films and using all sorts of art to piece the story together.

Ultimately I make films for me, and for women like me, to satisfy the itch, to tell stories, to captivate. I’m motivated by the art and media around me, by everything I see and watch that makes me think “that’s what I want to make.” I love creating, and I love filmmaking and I love that I’ll spend my life doing both.
