Madeleine Mazuzan
Director, Filmmaker, Animator

Madeleine is a dedicated filmmaker and animator from Salem, Massachusetts. A recent Pratt graduate with a BFA in Film and Video, Madeleine has gained experience in organizing sets, collaborative working, and time management as well as developing a project from inception to completion. She has a passion for writing, directing, and production design, and her films tend to focus on issues of intersectional feminism and identity through a maximalist style of mixed media.

All my life I’ve been in love with storytelling. My films nowadays have taken on themes of identity, the nature of reality, social media, and the female gaze all through my very maximalist taste.

My love for narrative extends to art and animation. I enjoy using the vast possibilities of these mediums to add to my films, including techniques such as pixilation, stop motion, digital, and traditional animation. I use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Music has always been a large part of my life, and since childhood I've been fascinated by the intersection of sound and narrative. I use my skills in music theory and production in most of my films, with an Ableton keyboard, FL Studio, and GarageBand.
